About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Theme Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes that are fast, responsive, user-friendly, and aligned with project requirements. You will work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality websites and theme-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch based on design requirements
- Customize existing WordPress themes to match project needs
- Convert Figma, PSD, or XD designs into fully functional WordPress themes
- Ensure themes are responsive, SEO-friendly, and optimized for performance
- Integrate theme functionality with plugins and third-party tools
- Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot theme-related issues and bugs
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Collaborate with designers and developers for smooth project delivery
- Keep up to date with WordPress development standards and best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience as a WordPress Theme Developer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of WordPress theme structure and template hierarchy
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP
- Experience with custom theme development and theme customization
- Good understanding of responsive design principles
- Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg
- Knowledge of SEO-friendly coding practices
- Ability to debug and solve technical issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Knowledge of WooCommerce theme customization
- Familiarity with Git or version control systems
- Understanding of website speed optimization techniques
- Basic knowledge of plugin development is a plus
